Bio

Appearance: Alec is 5'10, but his slender physique makes him appear even taller. Because of his highly academic background, he has little muscle tone to speak of. He has a generally kind look about him, with gray-blue eyes that crinkle when he smiles (which he does often). He has long, blonde hair. Most of it is pulled back into a tight braid. The rest lays in gentle waves against the right side of his face and over his chest. Because of his Scottish heritage, he has very pale skin. He has two holes pierced in each ear, but often only wears earrings in the front pair. The 'signature' that completes his look is a pair of half-moon glasses with noticeably small lenses. He wears traditional lab gear when he works (a long white lab coat over dress-casual shirt and slacks, polished shoes). He's rarely not working, and therefore rarely seen in anything else, but he has a favorite pair of light blue, well-worn pajamas he wears around the house.

Personality: Alec is rather cheerful and energetic most of the time. He's outgoing and friendly, and always ready to help. When it comes to a task, especially one involving mechanics and technology, he's very serious and concentrates completely on what he's doing. He has a habit of following an 'out of sight, out of mind' mantra. He has a very strong sense of moral values, but they don't come into play with his work unless the injustices/wrongdoings/etc. are blatantly obvious.

Abilities/Strengths: Alec is considered a genius, with an IQ of 260. He can speak both English and Japanese (which is his second language). He has an affinity for working with technology, and because of his employment with Mikage Corporation, he's particularly familiar with machinery dealing with genetics (extraction and implantation), and mind-alteration.

Weapons: None

Weaknesses: Alec has a strong sense of moral values. He does try to ignore them, for the sake of the progression of science, although this is probably also detrimental. His strong work ethic has a tendency to clash with his moral beliefs, and he breaks down easily when this occurs. He has a hard time dealing with excessive blood/gore and death.

History: Alexander O. Howell was born in Scotland. He moved to America to attend MIT. Until he joined the Mikage Corporation's American branch, he was little known. He was moved to the main branch in Japan at the request of Kagami (head pro temp of the entire corporation) to become the lead scientist in the C-Project. The C-Project was a vast plot to create an advanced race of humans through the genetic control of celestial maidens. Alec agreed, mainly because of his enthusiasm regarding the advancement of science and the evolution of the human race. He didn't pay much attention when Kagami warned him that he would have to become 'the devil himself'. Alec's resolve flickered almost immediately once human subjects began being integrated into the program. The first subject to be captured was Kagami's cousin, and the first attempted capture of a celestial maiden was also Kagami's cousin. In noting Kagami's cold and self-interested manner regarding his own family, Alec questioned this mentally, but made no great falters in his manner.

The project continued on, and while the number of victims from a vaccine intended to bring out celestial traits put out by C-corp increased dramatically, Alec seemed to closely follow the "out of sight, out of mind" mantra. However, when the injustices and gross negligence of moral values became more obvious (Kagami ignoring the miscarriages and deaths of impregnated celestial maidens, allowing brutal murders, disregarding casualties/fatalities of guard), Alec became increasingly distrustful in his own convictions. He questioned Kagami's methods of creating this advanced race. When Kagami reminded him that he was now the devil, Alec replied "I'm neither the devil nor god, I'm just human!". C-project began quickly falling apart when investors from other countries pulled their funding due to the constant failures of Mikage corp. Alec's trust in himself and the C-project failed completely. He aided the "enemy" as a sort of repentance for his lack of judgement. When Kagami decided that the project was no longer worth keeping up and gave in, Alexander was largely responsible for that change. Nothing is known of him after he left the wreckage of the project in a helicoptor as ordered by Kagami.
